Swamiji, Pranam I do accept and have always believed that my body is a gift from the God and for a moment I do not doubt about it. What I cannot fathom is the concept or the belief that the human body is a “dead carcass”. Spirituality is not meant to be separate from the body. At every stage of spiritual growth, the great ally you have is your body. We all intuitively want to get rid of discomfort, and it takes satisfying answers about who you are and why you are here to bring inner discontent to an end. In its true nature, life is comfortable, easy, unforced and intuitively right. I strongly believe that one should learn to accept one’s life not as a series of random events but as a path awakening whose purpose is maximum joy and fulfilment. I cannot accept the concept that to attain spirituality one should renounce the body, deny its passions and control the desires.
