Dear Viji,
Ramayanam of Valmiki is based on history.
But same history was written by Vyasa on the basis of Vedanta; that is the real soul of Indian philosophy called Vedanta.
Based on Vyasa Ramayana, Ezhuthachan wrote Adhyatma Ramayanam.
Please remember that it is not important who wrote it; what matters is the content.
