Swamiji, thank you very much for the apt answer to my question on Duryodhana. But I fail to understand what purpose is served by ending someone’s life. Mind is acting through the body and performing all actions, good or bad. By killing the person, the mind/atma is deprived of its tool to continue to perform such actions in this Janma. But the mind/atma carries its ‘samskaram’ to next Janma and finds another body, and possibly continue to do similar things. So, the real doer of Adharma is the mind and it escapes the body unchanged as it can not be harmed by weapons, fire, water or air. So then, what purpose is served by killing someone ?

Dear Jay,
It is an imagination that violence can be removed through violence. When a person always imagines that some one else is the cause of his disturbance, he develops enmity, hatred and revenge. Such a mind always thinks about eliminating that person from his life. But he never understands that he himself is living in violence. Such mind is the real enemy to oneself. Unless one develops spiritual strength,there is no end for the revenge and vice-versa.
