Swamiji, thanks for all your earlier replies. As mentioned in your earlier answer it is true that I am not a very positive person but instead I am looking out for positive people to understand and bring out the goodness in me,sometimes I am successful like in the case of my husband but not always so and that makes me dependant on others. I tried to be positive and look out for the goodness in the people at work.I realised that not all of them are really bad people but there are some who are prejudiced and hate me because of some personal prejudice in their minds based on their past experiences. But my mind has a habit of focusing on the negativity and repeatedly thinking about it and wondering why they said that or did that and in this process my mind leaves out the positive people. I try to stop this constant repeated thoughts but they just don’t stop. How do I stop such thoughts and how do I stop depending on people

The only way to come out of emotional dependence on others is to have a strong self dependence. You should be able to see yourself as a treasure house of positive emotions from where you can give. Any kind of dependence is a liability. Every day meditate for 15 minutes after Pranayama on the thought that no negativity will be entertained by me from within or outside. When you repeatedly say that to yourself you will slowly see the goodness in others and the self. Hari Om.
