Several philosophies exist because subjective experiences on such issues vary. If there were objective proofs, there would not be various schools of thought. No one has come back from the land of the dead to explain life after death or what exactly happens thereafter. Punya/ papa etc. are experiences in this world itself, depending on the level of your thoughts. Your consciousness, that is in your experience, is “jeevatma”. The universe also works under a supreme intelligence or consciousness that Hinduism calls “Paramatma”. The ideal explanations on Karma and Dharma is in Bhagavad Gita. Start meditating on these issues with whatever knowledge you have. The key to all knowledge is within yourself, and will become available to you readily with some effort. Hari Om.
