swamiji, this is my personal problem. I completed my mbbs and now preparing for pg exam. Till last month I was working at a hospital as a junior resident. I really liked to work there, but I was unable to study so I resigned. When I was working there, I worked with one consultant, he is not married. He was very friendly to me and my friends also tease me with him. I don’t know why he is not married. I’m clearly not in love with him and I don’t have any feelings for him. But after I resigned, I’m always thinking about him and I can’t concentrate on my studies. Most of the time I just sit and crying, I don’t know why I’m crying. I didn’t talk to him after I left there. Now I don’t know what to do. I always dreamed of a spiritual life, not a married life. But now I’m confused. What should I do…? I know this is stupidity, but I couldn’t study well. Plz help me….

Life has entrusted a noble profession with you. The ability to heal and cure people at the most difficult stages of life. First of all look at yourself with great dignity. Be proud of what you have accomplished. Now what happened here? You had an interesting senior colleague that you interacted with closely for a few days and now you miss him. As you start your profession you will come across a hundred people like him, some smarter and more interesting. You will even have patients that you will closely interact with. What you need to learn is to mature as a doctor and ignore the silliness that you yourself call stupidity. The less value you give for this thought, the less important it will become in your life. Focus on your PG exams, and become a highly respected consultant that many juniors will look up to with respect. Make yourself the best…..the best will then come to you. Hari Om.
