The first thing to know is God is not an entity sitting outside you, to be pleased with your puja and vazhipaadu so HE gives you something in return to fulfill your cravings or desires. The treasure house of power is within you and so to change your life your mindset has to change. Now any offering to God should be done with the understanding of athma samarpanam or surrendering our limited will to the all pervading Supreme Intelligence, so you can think and work in the right direction. Pujas and other rituals are done before the deity to remind us of the Divine power within ourselves. So a temple visit should essentially be with the aim of recharging our mental, emotional, intellectual and intelligence batteries. With the renewed mindset if we deal with the world, you will be successful in all you do. Hari Om.
