Swamiji, what may be the reality behind Swami Ayyappan? I don’t know whether I am talking out of ignorance.But I am confused with the story of Mohini-Shiv son. Is Swami Ayyappan a great soul and guru only and this story not true? Please give me pardon if I am wrong… Hari Om

All avatars were Gurus who came to show us how to live life. The story of mohini is to make us understand that asu-ra(those who indulge in asu or sensory pleasures) sought Mohini while Devas(people who indulge in divine knowledge) sought Amrith or eternity. They represent two levels of the mind, a lower emotional mind and a higher intelligent mind. Hari Om
