Swamiji, you had once said no god can help a human, to uplift his life or himself from within. If not then why we have temples and why these devapreshnam is conducted when unfavourable situation happen in temple? Temple is the place for dhyanam. And to do japam right? And also to practice of holding the diety idol on mind , where by one will be able to come out of the problems in his life easily instead of holding on to it. and what is the relevance of devapreshnam in temples if its a place to preform these actions? And how the impact of porva janma yogam could be taken away in this birth with the help of parihara karma?

Let me answer your second question first. Every life is triggered by some accumulated karma called Prarabdakarma. As we live our life, we have to live in such a way to exhaust the remaining karma called Sanchita Karma. This is done by uplifting our thoughts, that is moving form lower level thinking, fear, doubts and confusion to strength, determination and clarity. This can be done by developing our Athmasakthi through focus on the temple deity, Namajapam etc. Now about Devapresnam, temples maintains an ethereal environment to create positive energy in us or cause an upward flow of our pranic forces. This is done by several tantric rituals, mantras etc. Since Jyothisham provides a guideline to determine the alignment of space, time, and universal forces to create a positive environment, it is sought in the tantric field. However, on a personal level the focus should be to improve our inherent strength. Everything else is a medium for that. Hari Om.
