swamiji,do we need to have celibacy to practice advaita? Is the habit of self indulgence a sin as swami chinmayananda has said that it will make our personality vulgar.

Dear Brinda,
Celibacy means mental freedom from all obsessions.
Indulging mentally and controlling physically is absurd and foolishness.
(Refer Geetha 3rd chapter).
Real celibacy is understanding about the limitation of the sexual pleasure.
If our mind is not clear about the limitations, mind will have the tendancy to indulge whenever you get an opportunity.
Actually celibacy is the quality of the mind, not the body.
When a man too much indulges, his mind will develop a thought that this is the only pleasure that he can enjoy in this world.
He never understands that it is affecting his life in the form of a weak lungs and blood.
