Where in the scriptures is this said ? In today’s world can we possibly follow things like that ? That is why Hinduism always gave importance to “seeking the Truth” over “acharams”. Tuesdays and Friday’s are typically the days for Devi Puja and it probably was considered inauspicious for a woman to leave her household on those days, in the past. We have to use wisdom in modifying and applying things of the past to present life. Hari Om.
