There is no harm in keeping vishukkani even on so called pula days.
The purpose of vishukkani is to inform us to live our life with full of joy and prosperity.
When you see Krishna and look at his face and take a vow that I will also keep a smiling face throughout this year irrespective of irritating experiences.
Similarly when you see the kani konna and fruits say, “I will be most happy with whatever I get in my life”.
To teach these lessons our ancestors started celebrating Vishu.
