Thank you Swamiji, for answering my earlier query. You have asked me to do abhishekam and alankaram of a metal idol of Lord Krishna. I understand that by alankaram, you mean decorating with flowers. Could you briefly explain the process of abhishekam , as I have never done it personally before? I have only seen it in temples. Thank you once again Swamiji for your advice. Looking forward to your response.

Dear Jyothi,
Take a glass of water; put some Tulsi leaves by chanting “Hare Rama…”; do the Abhishekam and after drying the idol, you can decorate with the flowers.
Thus you can do the Pooja.
