What is Rahu & Ketu ? what is its significance

Actually there are no planets as Rahu or Kethu. These are two lunar nodes. It is actually the intersecting points of two circles of sun and moon orbits. Rahu is north lunar node and Kethu is south lunar node. In Hindu mythology Rahu is an asura (only head) which swallows sun, causing eclipse. Ketu is descending lunar node is also an asura.
