what is the change of prana after death

Prana is the life force or vital energy. Since it is energy it is not touched by death. It carries the mind with its sanskaras to the next physical entity like wind carries fragrance from one place to another. That is why the usage “Prana left” the body at death. Life force leaves the body at death, but it is unchanged. Hari Om.
