What is the purpose of using sanskrit words like Avahayamii.. Tharpayami etc etc during a sradha( Pithrutharpana karmam). Do a deep imagination or memorizing about our parents is enough?. Is it good to avoid pithrukarma and do a service like blood donation/ food –dress –money donation to an orphanage or oldage home or such places is enough

Dear Thottasseril,
During ancient times, people were well versed in Sanskrit. While reciting, they could understand the meaning too.
But nowadays, the meaning is not conveyed because we are not studying Sanskrit.
So, it is not necessary to recite Mantras. Only mental involvement is needed.
As you said, giving charity is more powerful service than performing any rituals.
Remember, Swami Vivekananda said ” Manava Seva is Madhava Seva”.
