What is the significance of sivaratri?
Posted by Sanal on March 12, 2011
Dear Sanal,
Shiva represents the divine mind. Such a mind alone can accept the challenges in life.
Not only, Shiva accepted challenges like Kalakood Visham, also strongly retained/controlled the poison within his throat.
That means, he never allowed the poison to influence HIM.
Similarly, if you are able to control your emotions with a positive mind and intelligence, problems can not influence us without passing it to others.
Shiva is Auspicious and Rathri is the darkness of challenges in life.
With auspiciousmind, one can overcome the challenges!
HariOm!
