Dear Sadasivan,
As we study Physics, it teaches us that even when matter gets destroyed, energy exists.
What happens to energy? It can again take another form. Similarly, when your body(matter) is destroyed the energy(mind) never gets destroyed. It can take another form; this is called rebirth.
