what should be my behaviour if my in laws enforce everything on me, including small things like dressing up my kid from a spiritual angle..how do i enforce myself without hurting them and bringing unpleasantness in our relation. Please advise.

Dear Meenakshi,
Elders always expect respect and patience from the youngsters. We should learn to listen patiently when elders speak to us. They look at your attitude and your pleasing behaviour. They are concerned with your way of doing things. Understand that usually elders are not flexible, so do not try to change them. Learn to respect their past life and achievements. What we are today is the fruit of their sacrifices in the past. They will not be with us for a very long time. Give them your strong shoulders to lean on. Be strong, be positive, do meditation, chant Vishnu Sahasra Namam and learn Gita. God will be with you in all your deeds.
