What to do if we have differences with our parents? What if they force something on us or reject something we prefer? What if they consider my silence as my weakness and a license to dominate though not directly but through other ways. If, rarely, i present my point they find it hard to digest which irritates me and i react in ways which im not supposed to.

Your problem is a common phenomena, in almost every house you can see this kind of difference of opinions.
To handle this situation you have three options – first one is reject their words and go with your own decision.
But if decision fails regret will weaken your mind. Second is just blindly follow their words but if that is also going wrong you can blame them for their role.
Third is sitting together and discuss, analyse and accept good and reject bad.
If one can do this they never break the relationship rather develops self respect.
You can even take the help of a third party who is respected by parents.
Let us learn to behave intelligently than emotionally with our elders.
