when it is said that ramayanam and mahabharatam are the stories written by valmiki and vyasan respectively, what should i understand from this? that these are the the stories that has really happened? or through these characters the writter is trying to explain how to live a meaningful life? were krishna and kuchelan the people that actually lived on earth? when guru says that we should not accept any stories blindly, what is he actually conveying? pls help…

Dear Sujitji,
In our great country and culture we have many epics.
There are histories and mysteries in our knowledge base.
But we are completely injected only with the stories, not with mysteries.
Now we need to awaken our intellect to know the Thathwam encapsulated in the stories.
