when we talk of the avatars of Vishnu.we start with ‘matsya avatar”but Sri Suka while narrating Bhagavatham to Parikshit does not start with this avatar. Why?

Dear Lalitha,
Bhagavatham is a Science; it is used to transfer a weak mind to a strong mind.
In order to develop the mind, first it shows the weakness of the mind and then the ways to get rid of it.
Selfishness creates possessiveness; that is represented by Hiranyaksha.
With Knowledge of the Self and selfless action, we can destroy the selfish mind. That positive mind is represented by Varaham.
Similarly each avathar represents various positive qualities and the Asuras who are killed represent the negative qualities.
That is how the Great Rishi Vyasa connects each avathar with the principles of self development.
But the unintelligent person who reads stories alone, take it for the cycle of avathars!
