Why hinduism says we are reborn after death while other religions say that we go to hell or heaven after death?

Hinduism also has the concept of Swarga and Naraka but it is not a “place you go to” after you die. “Satwa gunodayam” is Swargam and “Thama unnagam” is Narakam. Meaning if your Satwic qualities predominate you are in Swarga and if your Thamasic qualities dominate you are in Naraka. So both are in your experience here itself.
Now, we all know our body returns to Panchabhootas when it dies. What happens to our thoughts? Since energy cannot be created or destroyed by the law of thermodynamics, mind which is an energy form has to manifest in some other form. Our scriptures say it associates with a new body and continues its journey towards the perfect energy or the pure conscious energy (Paramathma). Hari Om.
