There are two levels to explain every situation. One is transactional (Vyavaharikam) and other is absolute(paramardhikam). For eg. Rebirth can be looked at like the Sun rising and setting every day. But in reality Sun does not rise or set. It is an illusion created by the earth’s motion. Similarly when u remain at the level of mind and caught up in the web of thoughts, the mind moves from body to body. But when u rise to the level of awareness it is permanent and unchanged. So both statements of Krishna are true. Hari Om.
