Chapter 1, Sloka 19
Sa ghoṣo dhārtarāṣṭrāṇāṁ hṛdayāni vyadārayat,
nabhaś ca pṛthivīṁ caiva tumulo vyanunādayan.
After hearing the collective blowing of the conches by the Pandava army, the resounding sound created pain and fear in the hearts of the Kauravas. This reflects their lack of proper training, coordination, and inner confidence, as well as their negative pride. The quality of a good leader is determined by their ability to communicate effectively, inspire confidence, and utilize the strengths of each individual appropriately — rather than blaming or belittling them, as Duryodhana did on the battlefield.
