HARI OM
All of us each year receive the same standard happy new year greetings, but here I am wishing everyone a Blessed New Year. I have used the word blessed for a definite purpose.
Each person’s character is formed by his/her experiences, their interactions with others and the resulting actions and reactions. We all think that our character is the best. Everyone loves their own nature, but the fact remains that we all know that we have shortcomings. Even if we are convinced about the superiority of our nature it may not suit others. As we enter this New Year we should make a practical resolution which can be implemented. Firstly let us mould our character so as to make another happy. It does not matter even if it is an outward show as long as another person becomes happy. This is the essence of all religions. Hinduism teaches – Lokha Samastha Sukhino Bhavantu. Love your neighbours as you would love yourself is the message of Christianity. Universal Brotherhood is what Islam teaches. We should make others happy instead of hurting them. Secondly let us make up our minds to forgive others irrespective of what they may say. We should train our minds to forgive hurtful comments and not to hold on to any grudge. This does not mean that we have to tolerate and bear everything. Our reactions should not be based on wrong emotions. We should respond calmly and not react. We have to be able to look the other person in the face and ask if they are happy with what they have said . Thirdly we should do all our work happily whatever be its nature . The year 2020 should be 20 for us and 20 for others.
Ellaverkum A VERY HAPPY 2020.
