While praying we are keeping a picture/idol in front of us. While looking at the picture we are getting an idea of the Lord and keeping it in my mind throughout our prayer. But recently I heard in a prabhashanam that while looking at the picture we should imagine the Lord lively in lieu of the picture/idol. Kindly clarify

Visualisation is only for better concentration; once that is archived you don’t need any form because then it will be an obstacle for the greatest experience of feeling one’s own self. In short just ask yourself ” when I visualise where this picture is appearing?”.
The answer will come, it is in the conscious mind. Now what is this consciousness? Can I experience it?
Yes, through deep feeling you can and when you get real feeling that day is your real blessed day because you have met true God in your life.
