Pranam Swamiji, i recently attended a 12th day death ceremony of a distant relative grand mother where son of grand mother gave me a “passudhanam” with some amount, a dhothi, a coconut etc. The priest asked the son to say like this before giving the “passudhanam” to me: “ente ammayude janmanthira durithangal ellam ee passudhanathode angeku samarpikkunnu”. Swamiji, i was shocked to hear this. Why these types of dhanams are offerring. Can they give these type of dhanams without permission of the receiver. Can we accept these type of dhanams. Is these “janmanthira dhurithanagal” is trasferrable. Pls advs your comments.

If they think, they can transfer their ancestor’s Karma account to your name, they are wrong.
If you can very confidently accept their gift without fear, there is no harm.
But if you are afraid, it will steal your peace of mind.
Because, all these illusions are created and destroyed by mind only.
