Pranam Swamiji, Recently i heard a lecture from a saint .He is asking why we are going to Sabarimala as the chaitanya there is situated in the nearby sastha temple. He is telling the reason when we go to sabarimala, we hv to climb neelimala, karimala etc which causes a lot of strain to our physical body. Same is the case when we follow ekadasi vritham, dwadasi vritham, shashti vritham, thinkal vritham, monday vritham etc. In addition to the karma phala that time is bringing, our physical body can also contribute to reduce the karma phala (punya or papa) to some extent. Swamiji, is this correct. Pls advs..

Yes, if you do it with mental involvement and devotion.
Otherwise, it becomes just a physical exertion like trekking or mountaineering.
