Namashkar Swamiji, your clarifications on meditation was very informative and well understood. I have few doubts; 1. In a normal human being’s life span, how many thoughts (or samskaras) one could create? (I need answer for this because I could not grasp the explanation You have given for ”muppaththu mukkodi devathas’. 2. While proceeding towards conscious state (i.e. “Prayana kale’) we leave the materialistic existance (i.e. unconcious state of this world) behind us and while coming back to this unconscious state again, the world we reach will not be the same. Our reentry would be in a new world. (You explained this way – that everything is impermanent and whatever existed in one moment will not be there next moment). What does it mean? Each such PRAYAAN will enhance our spiritual status? Kindly explain further. 3. It was also said that meditation is the only way which will nullify samskaras. In such case, is there any possibility of avoiding creation of new samskaras in our present existance. How? 4. I understood that meditation clears already existing samskaras. Even after stopping influence of Samskaras, still it appears in our memories (in which case, it cannot have any influence on us). Is it called ‘dakta beej’- fried seeds state? Is there any explanation given in Srimadh Bhagawat Geeta regarding shielding of our present existence from the force which push us to create new samskaras? 5. I want to know whether my understanding on all these are correct: Kaaran Shareer, Heart, Mind, Desires, Ego, Emotions, Self & Atma a. Kaaran Shareer happened to take place due the result of our earlier live’s samskaras b. Heart is the entity within us which is bound by Satva, Thamo & Rajo gunas. c. Mind is the creation of Prakruti i.e. nature & Mind’s existence is possible as far as we are feeding it with our thoughts. Mind’s death takes place when we switch off the thinking process. Mind tries always to keep our thinking process alive so that it can survive (survival instinct). d. Desires are the creation of our heart which are reflecting in mind as thoughts e. Ego is the state of mind which tend to misunderstand everything and keep the ”purush’ in ignorance. f. Emotions: When desires mix with thinking power, emotions originates at physical level as action g. Self is mentioned as Purush who attired the Karan Shareer due to his earlier samskaras and he is the reservoir of concealed knowledge and also ignorance h. Atma – The naked soul behind the three veils, viz. physical body, sensory body and causal body. Atma gnana is realization of our own self, i.e. Consciousness. Consciousness has the potential to manifest itself (with the help of Prakruti) into cosmic state and experience the lower level of its existence. Sorry, I raised so many doubts in a single letter. I m grateful to you for making me to realize correct interpretation and correct meaning of Great Bhagawat Geetha .
