Pranamam Swamiji, Swamiji, the mind is a manifestation from the chaithanyam and also atma is an extension of paramatma…. So during the time of death, the mind and the atma leaves the body, is this sentence correct? Swamiji, can you give some knowledge on this? Wishing you a very happy new year!!

Our existence could be looked upon as five layered. The outermost is annamaya kosam or physical body and next is pranamaya kosam. Inner to that there are three more layers, manomaya kosam, vignanamaya kosam and anandamaya kosam. The three inner layers will leave the body at the time of death.
