Dear Swamiji, What is the symbolic representation of Sivalingam. Why full prathakshinam is not allowed in Siva temple. Pls advs.

‘Siva’ is the most auspicious consciousness.
‘Siva Lingam’ is the symbol that represents the Mind that manifests from the Chaithanyam.
Mind goes through three states like jagrat, sushupti and swapna. It does not know the fourth state of Thureeyam.
So, in Siva temples full pradakshinam is not allowed to represent this.
