I am a vegetarian. I don’t eat meat or eggs. Both my daughter and her husband argues with me that the egg produce in the USA does not have the ability to hatch into chicks after keeping the eggs in the incubator. My sole point against taking eggs is eggs have life. But these docs say they don’t.. The latest theory is the cholesterol in the egg yellow will not harm the body. To get vit.B12 vegetarian need egg consumption at least 2 per week. Since the benefits are more, why can’t we the orthodox hindus take eggs? Is it against our religious belief?

Vegetarianism was adopted to the Hindu life, like every other healthy behavior. It should be looked upon as a way to maintain a physical environment conducive to a meditative life. Modern research and medical doctors have become proponents of vegetarian diet. Religion as such does not bar you from any diet. Hari Om
