Dear Swamiji, i hv a friend. He was a goldsmith. Some ten years ago he met his Guru and guru gave him manthra deeksha and advised him to chant one lakh times after that he will get siddhi. He completed one lakh manthra chanting without fail within 10 years. Now whatever he says will be correct, He has got 2 drowsing rods which is turned to his mind. He will ask the person who wants advice or remedy, to sit in front of him and he finds out the person’s “ishta devatha” and to do remedies in the nearest temple for 3 weeks and after that his problems will be over. For sickness, for delayed marriage and for no babies after marriage, vastu problems – all such issues are sorting out by him. What he says we all hv got a “ishta devatha” which is not belongs to this life, but worshiped in many past lives. He asks the drowsing rods, who is the ishta devatha of the person sitting in front of him – whr Ganapathi – then we can see the rods comes cross, he again ask whr Siva, again if the rods comes cross that is not the ishta devatha. He such asks till he gets positive evidence. For eg: he asks whr Vishnu and if it is yes, the rods will be widen (instead of crossing) and thus he finds out and ask the person to do kathali fruits nevedyam and thulasi mala and put Rs 11.25. at the step of the temple. So simple remedies. Each person’s ishta devatha will be different. He says when the “deiveeka thadasangal” (godenly obstacles) are removed, your problems will be over. He will not ask for fees or dakshina and if somebody gives him only he takes. His is very busy schedules now and stopped goldsmith work now. How this is happening. Whether manthra deeksha has got so much power. Can we tune the mind with drowsing rods or pendulam. Do you believe in these. Pls advs.
