Pranams Swamiji, I want to know how to overcome this internal fear I have all the time.I always Am scared that someone dear to me is going to get hurt .I dont fear my own death …but I cant handle the thought of my loved ones going.Its a constant fear and really upsets me.I have never told anyone of this fear. How can I not me attached to my parents , husband and my own son? I try to apply the teachings of Bhagavatham in my life inorder to uplift my thoughts from these fears…but its not really helping me. Please advice me.

Dear Paru,
As long as your thoughts are centred around the mortal BODY, you will have fear!
Understand that this body is constantly undergoing death – all the cells that were in your body a few years back are all dead and new cells have come in their place.
Childhood dies and Adolscence is born; it dies and youth comes; it dies and old age comes!
One day, the mind will definitely throw away this body and take another body till it dissolves in the Deathless Chaithanyam!
According to Hindu philosophy, in all these births, you play different roles and many will play their roles too.
Many will come into your life and many will go from your life as per the rules of Karma, which is beyond any intellectual understanding!
YOU are none of these roles!
Realize that YOUR infinite nature is beyond all births and deaths and roles!
You will get a glimpse of it, when you do meditation.
And meditation is the only way to come out of the Fear of Death!
Do your Sadhana (especially meditation) regularly and you will find the inner peace within you!
