Hari Om! Pranams Swamiji My husband suffers from severe jaw pain off and on (trigeminal neuralgia) and many treatments have been of no effect until now. He is planning to go for surgery as per neurosurgeon’s advice. Please suggest me a way to divert him when he gets pain. I told him to do namajapam (as I heard you saying in your discourse) but he says he cannot concentrate on that and he cannot divert from the pain. How else can we do this? We both listen to Bhagavatham daily in Asianet and had the fortune of attending one of your sapthaham in Mumbai recently though only for two days. It was very enlightening. Thank you Swamiji for this great effort of yours to spread Bhagavatham.

Dear Latha,
When we constantly think about our own pain, the mind feels some pain.
But if you are able to divert your mind into interesting and inspiring works or watching humorous movies or reading such books, it can help him to divert his attention.
Through that he should learn that mind gathers pain only when it attends the pain.
