I am not aareligious person, but I respect Hinduism, for it’s not merely a religion, but is the philosophy of life, at least according to me. I respect Hinduism for being ages old, but still having said that good may not exist, which is atheism, and for saying thaan padi deivam padi, which means God will not help you unless you help yourself, and for hosting the Sanskrit word karma, which is now the most commonly used Sanskrit word in the world, which means that as you sow, so you reap. Recently I have been listening to Dr.Zakir Naik’s videos about Islam and I am highly disturbed. How can people change their religion from such a great religion as Hinduism to Islam listening to those lectures? He says alla is the only God and he will help you. Quran is scientific whole Ramayana and Mahabharata is wrong. He argues that Ramayana and Mahabharata never existed and Hindu Gods aren’t Gods. Isn’t this a wrong thing? I mean, I don’t want to spread Hinduism. But spreading wrong ideologies, or one sided ideas is not right. We have scientific proof that the was took place at kurukshetra. Why is the so narrow minded Christianity and Islam getting more followers than a religion that says you needn’t pray to be blessed, you only need to do good deeds for that. Why do Hindus convert from Hinduism to other religions? I think it’s high time we stick to our culture and not let the glory of Indian culture be invaded by the other cultures. I was talking to this small boy and he wanted to tell us the story of Jesus Christ. After listening, my friend offered to share the story of ganapati. He said he didn’t want to know. So we tried explaining that all the Gods are one. He totally agreed and told us that that one God is Jesus. I personally don’t want Indian history to be recited only from the Mughal period or the British period. That’s where we will end up being if we go in this direction. I have never found anyone’s lectures as inspiring as Swamy Udit Chaitanya’s. I really hope you can make a difference, because you don’t preach the religion, whereas you preach the way of life.
