Hari Om Guruji, As you explained to my previous doubt that -“Hinduism does not teach you to pray to God,but to attain the divinity in you through Sadhana”. Can you please explain it clearly.Since we were taught from childhood to do prayers to God.To visit temples and offer our prayers. Also can you please explain the meaning of Sadhana.

Sadhana is the path to liberating the self from ego, attachment and materialism. Sadhana involves Japam to purify the mind, dhyanam to improve focus and inward attention and yagjam to burn the material attachments through knowledge. Hinduism teaches you about “upasana” meaning to be in a “sub-ordinate position”. This is different from “prayer” for material benefits as promoted by Semitic religions. You are devoted to a higher power who is in charge of the cosmos and your life. Hari Om
