Dear Swamiji, You always talk about “mind”and just like mother shows toys to her child to change the mind which he is focusing on and crying. Similarly, Don’t sit thinking on the same problems which causes depression. It is also said that mind never like repetition and new thoughts coming continuously. In order to overcome this, our rishis asked us to chant same mantra japam continuously which mind does not like but mind will become calm and quite. Pls clarify above 2 instances.

The key is to understand the individual mind is an extension of the universal mind or universal awareness. Mind can never be satisfied by material attractions. When you have it all, you lose interest in it. However, as it focuses on inward truth, it finds calm because that it where it “belongs”, like a baby resting on mother’s lap. Hari Om.
