Please understand, our existance has many dimensions.
Usually we are aware of the existence of body only.
Separation with physical body is inevitable.
But the energy which was illuminating the body can not go anywhere.
The same mind can join you in another life time or in this life time itself as a child in the coming generation.
It all depends on the karmic bondages.
