The word Dharma comes from the root “dhr” meaning to maintain, uphold or keep. Hence Dharma refers to that which maintains the proper order, whether it be a duty, a purpose or thought. You have to perform different levels of Dharma in one life, depending on all roles you play in life. For eg.You may have to perform the duty of a mother and daughter at the same time. Sanathanadharma or eternal code of conduct, refers to the Vedic wisdom and knowledge passed down by our great sages. These value systems have been practiced by seekers all over the world today.
