Anything that is manifested originated from its subtle (sookshma) form and will go back to it in a cyclical process determined by time (kaalachakram). Hence body returns to Panchabhootas and mind returns to the infinite conscious space. However, mind has to travel through different bodies in a process of purification until it can finally merge into its source. Hence the rebirths. Hari Om.
