Swamiji, Hari Om. I have a suggestion. I have been fortunate enough to listen to many of your discourses in Youtube. In many of them, you pose many questions at the Audience which are thought provoking. But many a times, you, while explaining the reason why we Hindus are ignorant of answers to those questions, continue without giving the ANSWER. This message is to ask you some such unanswered questions. 1) Why does Goddess Durga or Kali have such Fierce form with skulls and all? 2)Why are girls not allowed to go to temple or do anything divine during their periods? 3)How are Bible and Quran different from Gita or any Sanatana Dharma Works?

Please take some time to review prior questions. Most of your questions have been answered before. Semitic religions look at you as sinners, point to a God outside you, who you believe will rescue you from this sinful life. Sanathanadharma teaches you that you are a part of the divinity that fills this universe. Your purpose in life is to seek, identify and express that divine presence in you. It teaches you the several methods to reach that goal. Hence, Hinduism is the science of the mind and its management.
Devi represents the various dimensions of energy and its totally. Energy is represented in Tamasic, Rajasic and Satvic forms. We see Kali standing on Shiva whose eyes are closed. This means thoughts even in its Tamasic form (moola Prakriti) arise on a divine inert consciousness. Devi is also represented as Lakshmi(prosperity/Rajasic) and Saraswathi (jnanam/ Satvic). So we need to transform the Tamasic or wild energy through knowledge to prosperity and understanding. It is to urge us, to suppress the crude natural instincts in us, and transform ourselves to divinity, that these several forms are displayed. Only then is harmony and creativity expressed. Our energy needs to be transformed from Tamasic to Satvic for personal upliftment and social development. Hari Om.
