Why the spirit need to be purified before going back to source? how it became impure? Was it not part of original source?

The source is infinite, pure and blissful.(SAT- CHIT- ANANDAM). But is your existence now, all inclusive? Is it pure in thought and deed? Is it blissful beyond problems?
A mirror is supposed to give an exact reflection of an object. However what happens when it is dusty? A clean up is needed before it can reflect the true image. Similarly, your existence is now covered by “maya” or your world of likes and dislikes. You have to clean up that dust to reflect your true self and dissolve into it. Hari Om.
