Swamiji I dont know what I am going to tell is right or wrong. I told you that I lost my father in 2014 august in an accident. He was a caring and loving father and was a great husband. It was difficult for us to overcome that situation. But for me and my brother Geetha, Bhagavatam, Spirituality and for myself Abhedashram was a great help to overcome that situation. To be frank Swamiji, as a daughter I always tried to give moral support to my mother for whom it was very much difficult than us to handle that situation. Last october we went Kashi for my father’s asthinimanjanam. Then I become almost completely fine. Swamiji my problem now is the attitude of my mother. She was our spiritual guru. There is no need to explain things to her. Now also she always stay in a sad mood. But with any relatives she is ok. But dont want to spend more time with them also. I asked her many times to involve in any activities that she like or visit any temple she want but she won’t. I told her every evening we can go for a walk for a fresh up. But she wont come. She saw serials every evening. Eventhough I wont harshly tell to stop that thing (as I think if it gives her comfort, then let her see), its a truth that due to these serials she wont come anywhere and her mindset is still in the previous state. Today she came to temple with me but seems gloomy. When I asked why, she scold me as always, telling that I cant recover easily like you or your brother. That words hurts me always as I love her so much. Want her always with a pleasant mind. What to do Swamiji. I tried my best. Should I stop concerning about her in this case, giving her time and move on. Because I can’t even concentrate or enjoy the time at temple due to her behaviour. But I am afraid that if I leave like that dhe wont recover forever. She want me to marry now for which I am not at all interested. Still for her peace of mind I wont resist much. But if this is her state after my marriage she will be completely down. What to do Swamiji? Should I stop bothering about her. I can’t even concentrate in my Bhagavata study. If I leave her like that to take her own time to get recover, will it be a adharma from my part? I tried my best Swamiji. Please help me Swamiji. Hari Om.

Loss of a dear one is painful, but it is the very truth of life. Please understand your mother who spend several intimate years with your father is definitely going to feel his loss more than the kids. You say she is okay with relatives, but when she is alone she is sad. Please let her be. Do not force her to behave differently. Let her do whatever she enjoys. Your job now, is to rise in your duties and perform so well in life, in all aspects, that makes your mother happy and proud. Do not tell her to do this or that, or display happiness. You be cheerful around her and move ahead in life. When she sees you and your brother doing well she will feel comfortable even in the absence of your father. Relax, she will be fine soon. My prayers are with you. Hari Om.
