Respected Swamiji, There are certain people in our life who continuously humiliate us or insult us because they think they are powerful in terms of money, which we lack. We try to divert our mind by forgiving them and forgetting everything, but they just take us for granted and repeat it again and again. Sometime it is very hurtful. I know that it is my ego that is getting hurt. But sometimes it becomes difficult for me to handle. How do i come out of such situations. Being relatives they cannot be ignored/ confronted also. At some point of time you have to come face to face. I get more hurt when they insult my husband. He never reacts, but i know he is hurt too. Please advice how to handle them. Do you have three meals a day, a roof to sleep under, and clothes to wear? If the answer is yes, you are one of the very rich people in this world. Richness is an absolutely relative concept. There are many richer people in this world, than your rich relatives. If you have enough to meet your needs live happily. If you don’t have enough to meet your needs, work harder and earn. Nothing else matters. Be bold about your financial status. The behavior of your relatives stem from their ignorance about the truth of life. You will fail only if you allow them to dictate your mind. Every time they do something to you, develop the ability to sympathize with them for their arrogance. Be able to surrender your difficulties at Bhagavan’s feet. You don’t even have to ask HIM for anything. If you are surrendered totally, Mahalekshmi will live with you without asking. Remember the story of Kuchela who did not ask, but was given. Hari Om.
