Pranamam Swamiji Swamiji..where is this mind located or does it have a specific location? Some ask me while explaining about the nature of mind. What I replied is it doesn’t have a fixed place…since in sleep it wanders in a dream or in deep sleep there is no entity called Mind… Is it? Please Clarify With love and respect

Since mind is a quickening of the consciousness it is an energy complex of thoughts with variable expression. Medical science is at a loss to explain mind for the very reason that it is not a structural entity like the head or the heart. You are absolutely right in that it expresses differently during wakefulness(jagrat), dream or subconscious(swapna), stupor(sushupti) states. Beyond all these is the state of Thuriya when you can consciously detach your mind from the body. Hari Om.
