There is a subtle difference between conscious and cosmic energy. Conscious intelligence when bound with life force or Prana becomes thoughts. It is from thoughts that things and forms are created. Cosmic energy is interchangeable with matter, while conscious energy is not. Question: if the wave is same as the ocean? In an absolute sense the answer is NO. However when the wind disappears the wave loses the quickening and it can dissolve into the ocean. Similarly the cosmic energy can dissolve back or merge with the conscious source when subtle, like wave returns to the ocean when there is no wind. That is why we describe conscious(Purusha) and cosmic (Prakriti) not as same, but complimentary.
To experience the pure consciousness that is the core of your being, you have to transcend the limitations of your body and mind. Gita describes several paths to that union. Karma, Jnana, Raja and Bhakti Yoga. Practice meditation regularly, the path will open up for you. Hari Om.
