If the Paramatma in you can be compared to a shiny mirror, the thoughts and impressions of your mind can be compared to dust that obscures the mirror. Every mind has variable amounts of dust determined by its karma vasanas and impressions accumulated. Some mirrors are hence more dusty than others, or some people are more brutal than others. Spirituality is the process of removing that accumulated dust with the right thought and actions, so the pure blissful consciousness in you will shine like a mirror, can be expressed and experienced by everyone around you.
