Hari Ohm, Respected Swamiji, I still not able to understand why Vazhipadu (offering) is not a sadhana. For those devotees who are not yet reached a level, Vazhipadu is one way of remebering God and trying to know him. By Vazhipadu, I feel not only self but the priest, temple, other devotees coming to temple everybody gets a benefit. Tenple itself progresses and attracts more devotees. But definetly as Swamiji said, offering to God by self is definetly better. Secondly, does the system in Kerala (i.e offerings through Priest) is one way good, because it reminds that for reaching God we must go through a Guru. Can’t Priest be considered as a Guru for that time. In North, everyone does the puja to the diety. But all doing with good intention or doing correct way. Many can follow the person doing wrongly and land up in wrong doing. I feel for those devotees who have reached a level, the system in north may be good and for starting the Kerala system may be good. I may be wrong also. Re
